How chicken curry tastes like christmas

We were dining out after a good sesh of capoeira last night. I was eating chicken curry and a friend asked “is that any good?

Sobra! I’ll tell you about it.

Every bite is like a mouthful of christmas.

It is uncommon to find so much color in a meal.

Orange carrots, yellowish potatoes..
Red and green bell peppers.. (jingle bells :>)
Its main feature — the chicken — has a bland color that contrasts with it all.
And it is all covered in this yellow warm soup
that is oddly made from snowy white coconut milk.

The veggies are undercooked as they should be.
Giving this crunchy oomph in every bite.
The chicken — firm and juicy. You can dissect its fibers unspoiled.
You just know you’re chewing real meat.

Herbs and spices all mesh together to cook this distinct flavor.
Flavor so unique that you only get in a curry.
Like that feeling you only get during christmas.
You would realize it doesn’t really take much — and you can feel it in a bowl.

It is a common Filipino food that is easy to make.
Yet packs so much savor and umami.
In every spoonful, you’d like to get a little bit of everything in.
Feed yourself with this healthy munch.

That satisfaction and warmth that you’re craving.
At a time when you think Christmas is no more..
Together with good friends to chat and laugh with.
Get a load of this dish to light up your tummy and heart.

Curry Christmas Y’all!!
