Everyone’s winging it

Just doing the thing already makes you one.

80% of any work is just showing up and doing it.

There is no one “right” way of getting something done. Sometimes people want to complicate things and put high bars on themselves. Can’t blame them school has trained us that we need to find that one answer in every problem.

X=5.7
Everything else is wrong.

In the real world, there are lots of approaches to a task. You can get creative with it and it all depends on how you see the world in your eyes.

All everyone has is their experience of the world. Other than this, they’re only operating with their best guesses.

And the way to do real work is to put yourself into it along with your perspective and quirkiness. Everyone has their own unique journey in the world. No other person has ever gone through the shit you have — your home, your parents, your country, your choice of music, your circle of friends, your degree, your hobbies..

That is all you. Embrace your wonders and sprinkle them into the art.

Nike defines an athlete as anyone who trains — whatever your training is.
So just do it! This is the only requirement — get the shit done!

A writer writes.
A singer sings.
A fighter fights.
A CEO chiefs (?).

Tim Ferris and Jerry Seinfeld sat down for a podcast episode. Jerry was asked the last question — if he had a billboard, what message would he put out?
Jerry says no one really knows anything about any of this and if you really wanna do it..

Just work.

Getting used to a blank page and thinking I just have to put together words. There’s something so freeing about it.
